For each scheduled series of races, two races will be sailed if weather conditions permit. The holiday regatta formats shall consist of five races unless otherwise posted. (Both classes are scheduled to race three races on May 28th, July 2nd, August 27Th). Note the starting time is for the scheduled start, not the warning signal.
There will be no scheduled races this year for the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend.
At the discretion of the Race Chairman and/or the Fleet Captains a third race may be sailed if prevailing conditions are favorable. An attempt will be made to poll the fleet skippers prior to a decision to race a third race.
The starting sequence shall have the E Scow class starting first and the Lightning class starting second. There will be approximately a six to seven minute interval between the class starts. The starting time, sequence, and number of races may be modified, postponed, or altered at the discretion of the race committee.
Race Committee: Please plan on you and at least two members of your crew being available for departure one hour prior to the scheduled start.
